We have some exciting news to tell you... Mangawhai now has its own Community House!
Te Whai Community Trust has moved to Rose Madsen Cottage (entrance at the Mangawhai Domain) and is collaborating with other groups currently functioning out of the house. We look forward to inviting you in for a cuppa after the old lady gets a well-needed makeover!
We are adding new services and support groups all the time. Please contact us if you are interested in attending an Anxiety Support Group, this will be a new group led by a trained counsellor. We also have a free Budget Clinic and one on one free Counselling sessions available. We currently have one clinic room for private session and our main community rooms.
We are also excited to announce we are working in partnership with Heat & Eat Mangawhai's local meal delivery. If you are aware of someone in need of further assistance or funding for this service, please contact us.
To refer yourself to any of our sessions, or to enquire about our Aroha Food Baskets, Heat & Eat Mangawhai, Grandparents Parenting Grandchildren, Te Reo Lessons and Te Whai Sages Senior & Whānau support, please fill out our online REFERRAL FORM and we will get back to you with more information. Bookings are essential.
Scheduled Community House bookings:
Budget Clinic - starts Tuesday 7th July, 1 - 3pm every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month. In collaboration with Warkworth Wellsford Budgeting Service
Counselling - starts Thursday 9th July 9 - 5pm. In collaboration with Otamatea Community Services
Anxiety Support Group - starts Tuesday 28th July, 1:30 - 2:30pm every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month. A new support group led by a trained counsellor
Other services running from the cottage are:
Plunket - (updated) Drop in clinic runs every Wednesday 9 - 12pm followed by booked sessions
Toy Library - every Wednesday and Sunday 10 - 12pm (excluding school holidays)
Mangawhai Playgroups - starts 21st July 10 - 12pm
