Te Whai Community Trust would like to invite you to a Matariki Community Hāngī to celebrate the Māori New Year.
DETAILS: 2 PM Saturday 3rd July at Te Whai Community House (Rose Madsen Cottage)
You are welcome to share in the experience and knowledge of preparing hāngī. We will be at the cottage from 8am, then the haakari (feast) will be at 2pm!
Things to note:
* BYO your picnic blanket and picnic set (extra plates, cups and cutlery). We will be working on minimising waste!
* Bring a koha for Te Whai
* Bring your whānau and friends
* Bring your singing voices - There will be music!
