Te Whai Community Trust is excited to announce a one-day 3D projection mapping workshop, mid November.
AwhiWorld is a NZ leader in using creative technology in community settings. They are offering a FREE workshop on how to wrap your projected content around 3D objects rather than just project it onto flat white walls. AwhiWorld have created a number of projection mapping based experiences in Northland and are keen to build capacity so light festivals and other similar events can be held in Kaipara with local content and operators.
If you have been excited by AwhiWorld’s work, heard of Sydney’s Vivid Festival or visited the projected exhibits at Waitangi Museum, and want to learn how this is done, then this is the workshop for you. It will be of particular interest to emerging creatives (older youth) who want to build their creative technology/ digital arts portfolio and established traditional artists who are keen to try a new medium or platform.
By then end of this hands-on workshop you will have a sound understanding of the basics of this digital art form.
Basic computer literacy is required, ideally some experience of using any digital creative tools. Numbers are strictly limited and admittance will be at the discretion of Te Whai Community Trust and AwhiWorld.
