Te Whai Volunteers
Our trained dedicated volunteers support the needs of the community. They have a wealth of experience and skills between them, and we feel very fortunate to work with them.
General Manager
Kia ora, ko Kiri Eriwata ahau, ko Te Atiawa, Ngāti Toa, Ngāti Raukawa ngā iwi. My role is to help bring service providers into the area, as well as create new initiatives and opportunities for Te Whai Community Trust to assist within the Mangawhai community.
Social worker
Anne is a registered social worker and valued member of the Te Whai team. Anne promotes a strengths-based, collaborative approach to support selected clients with complex social needs and provides supervision and training for staff.
Families Care Coordinator
Susi provides specialist occupational therapy and support for families of children with complex physical, cognitive, social and mental health needs, as well as developing services in youth wellness. Susi is passionate about supporting children to reach their individual potential, develop skills for life and nurturing resilience.
Wellbeing Coordinator
Carol supports adults, young people and whānau facing complex challenges to build skills for resilience and living life with ease.
Systems and Marketing Coordinator
Kia ora, I’m Kylee, my role is to support our Te Whai team to streamline processes, policies and procedures. I also assist with marketing, content creation and design work. I love working in a team where we are able to have a positive impact on our local community.
Social Services & Wellbeing Administrator
Kia ora, I'm Ester. My role is to provide support to the Wellbeing and Social Services team, coordinate our Sages visiting services, and facilitate Mangawhai Playgroups on a Tuesday morning. I enjoy being part of the team and connecting with the Mangawhai community.
Heartlands Administrator
Kia ora, I'm Diane, one half of the Heartlands Administration team. I love working as part of the caring team at Te Whai - we are focused on assisting members of our community who face a wide range of challenges. Sometimes it is the little things that can be a huge help.
Kaimahi
Rangatahi
Kia ora, Ko Siobhan Henderson ahau, my role as Kaimahi Rangatahi is to support the development and empowerment of rangatahi in various areas of their lives. I am excited to design and facilitate rangatahi-focused services, and work alongside rangatahi through a strengths-based approach to make meaningful change and realise their full potential.
Driver Training Coordinator
Kia ora, I’m Roanna, Coordinator for the Learner Licence and Mentor Driver Training programmes. My role is to support anyone in our community on their journey to gain their learners and/or restricted licence. I love being part of the team here at Te Whai and having the opportunity to support and connect with our Community.
